Data Collection & Analysis
Data collection and analysis in ManyLabsDACH follow a strictly centralized, preregistered, and transparent workflow. The goal is to ensure comparability across labs while preventing analytical flexibility.
Data Collection and Delivery
Data collection is performed by the contributing Research Teams (RTs).
Participating RTs informally declare their willingness to collect data when joining the project.
Data collection is carried out by the RTs.
All RTs use the same experimental and survey materials provided by the project team.
All experiments and surveys are conducted in German.
Analysis
Analysis and data handling are coordinated by the project team.
The project team, together with the Research Team (RT) of the selected design, develops the analysis code.
The analyses test the primary and secondary hypotheses of the selected experimental design.
Proposed analyses may be adjusted if they are deemed inappropriate for testing the hypotheses.
Any adjustments are coordinated with the RT that proposed the corresponding design.
The exact analyses are preregistered as part of PAP 2.
The project team is responsible for implementing the analyses specified in PAP 2.
Data Management
The data management strategy will be explained and specified in detail as part of PAP 2. In general, data management follows established principles.
All data are collected and documented according to the FAIR principles.
After the first publication and any applicable embargo period, the curated dataset is deposited in a recognized research data repository.
The dataset includes comprehensive documentation.
The repository deposit supports follow-up research, replication, and reuse.
